Optimize Your Adjusting Biomechanics & Adjust Like an Athlete
About This Event
This two-hour in-person course will discuss how biomechanical principles of the patient and doctor can be optimized for adjusting the efficiency of the chiropractor. New technology allows the objective measurement of force production and speed of a High-Velocity Low-Amplitude (HVLA) impulse. Combining this technology with human biomechanics provides opportunities to revisit a chiropractor’s approach to adjusting. The principles discussed will provide any chiropractor with applicable tools to harness their own power when delivering an adjustment.
Learning Objectives
- -Apply biomecechanical principles to optimize your own body mechanics during HVLA adjustments
- -Understand how force production and impulse speed directly impact adjustment effectiveness and patient outcomes
- -Utilize objective measurement technology to assess and improve your adjusting technique
- -Identify common biomechanical inefficiencies in your adjusting approach and implement corrective strategies
- -Harness proper body positioning and movement patterns to maximize power delivery while minimizing personal injury risk
- -Adapt athletic performance principles to enhance consistency, speed, and precision in clinical adjustments
