Biography

Dr. William W. Li is an internationally renowned physician-scientist, author, and global health advocate. He received his AB with honors in Biochemistry from Harvard College and his MD from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He completed his internship, residency, and fellowship training in General Internal Medicine at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. Dr. Li has held appointments on the clinical faculties of Harvard Medical School, Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine, and is currently a Visiting Assistant Professor of Medicine at Dartmouth Medical School. Dr. Li is the President, Medical Director, and co-founder of the Angiogenesis Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to re-conceptualizing global disease fighting through angiogenesis research. His groundbreaking work has led to the development of over 30 new medical treatments impacting more than 70 diseases, including cancer, diabetes, blindness, heart disease, obesity, chronic wounds, and neurodegeneration. He is a pioneer in the "food as medicine" movement, focusing on how diet can activate the body's five health defense systems: angiogenesis, regeneration, microbiome, DNA protection, and immunity.
