Biography
Dr. Edward Sinclair became an athlete at an early age, participating in football, baseball, and track and field from the age of five through his collegiate career. This early exposure to sports provided him with firsthand knowledge of sports-related injuries and their impact on athletes and teams. These experiences significantly influenced his approach to practice, which emphasizes pre-participation assessment, conditioning, active care, and functional rehabilitation to safely return athletes of all skill levels to their sport after injury. Dr. Sinclair received his undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama-Birmingham in 1997, earning a B.S. as a Fitness Specialist with a minor in Biology. During his time at UAB, he worked as a graduate assistant with the Strength and Conditioning program, where he was involved in planning and supervising team workouts, as well as assessing and setting goals for athletes' strength and conditioning programs. Kinesiology, athletic training co-management, and pre-participation assessment were strongly emphasized during his studies. Although Dr. Sinclair had been exposed to Chiropractic throughout most of his life, it was during his time as a starter on the UAB football team that he truly understood the impact Chiropractic could have on treating various injuries and optimizing peak performance. A life-altering experience with a family member further solidified his decision to attend Chiropractic College at Life University in Marietta, Georgia, from 1999 to 2002. While at Life, he was awarded the Clinical Excellence Award, served as class President and Treasurer of the Senior Honors Program, and graduated with honors, Magna Cum Laude. In the Fall of 2003, after associating in Chiropractic offices in Alabama and Florida, Dr. Sinclair opened his own clinic in Birmingham, Alabama. His practice maintains a strong emphasis on the benefits of pre-habilitation, functional assessment, and rehabilitation within a Chiropractic paradigm. In the Fall of 2008, Dr. Sinclair achieved his C.C.E.P. (Certified Chiropractic Extremity Practitioner) from the Council on Extremity Adjusting. He is committed to the continued education and treatment of his patients, believing deeply in the importance of Chiropractic care in their lives.
