Deanna Minich

Deanna Minich, PhD, MS, CNS, IFMCP, is a nutrition scientist, international lecturer, educator, and author, with over 25 years of cumulative experience in academia and in the food and dietary supplement industries. Throughout the years, she has been active as a functional medicine clinician in clinical trials and in her own practice (Food & Spirit™), now oriented toward groups, workshops, and retreats. She has authored seven consumer books on wellness topics, four book chapters, and over 50 scientific publications. Her academic background includes a Master of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics (1995) and a Doctorate in Medical Science (PhD) (1999). She has served on the Nutrition Advisory Board for The Institute for Functional Medicine and on the Board of Directors for the American Nutrition Association. Since 2013, she has taught graduate-level courses at the University of Western States.
