Colleen G. Auchenbach

Dr. Colleen G. Auchenbach is a highly respected chiropractor and a leading expert in chiropractic compliance and practice management. She earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree Cum Laude from Cleveland University (formerly Cleveland Chiropractic College) in 1998, following in her father's footsteps and building upon a foundation rooted in a chiropractic family. For over two decades, Dr. Auchenbach maintained a thriving family practice, gaining extensive clinical experience and a deep understanding of the operational aspects of chiropractic care. Recognizing the increasing complexities of healthcare regulations, Dr. Auchenbach transitioned her focus to compliance and documentation. She completed a 100-hour Insurance Consultant/Peer Review certification through Logan University College of Chiropractic in 2015. Further solidifying her expertise, she became a Certified Medical Compliance Specialist-Physician (MCS-P) in 2016. Her commitment to excellence in practice management led her to achieve Certified Professional Medical Auditor (CPMA) status in 2022 and Certified Professional Compliance Officer (CPCO) in 2024. Dr. Auchenbach is a prominent speaker and educator, sharing her invaluable knowledge with chiropractors and clinic staff across the country. She joined KMC University as a Documentation Specialist in November 2020 and, as of April 2024, serves as their Director of Education. Her presentations frequently address critical topics such as effective Office of Inspector General (OIG) Compliance programs, navigating OIG audits, and understanding the boundaries of fraud, waste, and abuse in chiropractic practice. She also consults with offices on building compliant and successful cash-based clinics, drawing from her personal experiences and extensive professional training. Currently, Dr. Auchenbach continues to practice as a chiropractor in Lawrence, KS, while actively consulting and educating. Her professional mission is to empower chiropractors with the tools and knowledge necessary to maintain ethical, compliant, and thriving practices in an evolving healthcare landscape.
