Nutrition 3: Sports Nutrition & Public Nutritional Health

This 48-hour course satisfies DSPS requirements for the Chiropractic Nutritional Counseling Certification in Wisconsin. Completion of the course allows Wisconsin DCs to provide nutritional counseling in their clinics, and to recommend supplements and nutraceuticals. It is appropriate for Chiropractors working towards their Nutritional Counseling Certification and an ideal choice for DCs and other health care professionals looking to expand their functional nutrition knowledge, dive into current research, and discover new methods to preserve optimal lifetime health through nutrition.

• -Understand the nutritional physiology and metabolic demands specific to athletic performance and recovery
• -Apply evidence-based sports nutrition protocols to optimize nutrient timing, macronutrient ratios, and hydration strategies for different athletic populations
• -Evaluate and recommend appropriate supplementation and nutraceuticals based on clinical evidence and individual patient needs
• -Analyze the relationship between nutrition and public health outcomes, including chronic disease prevention and population wellness
• -Develop comprehensive nutritional counseling plans that integrate functional nutrition principles into chiropractic clinical practice
