The Basics of Lab Testing Analysis – Onalaska

This hands-on blood-analysis workshop in Onalaska, Wisconsin, is presented by Fetterman Events and co-sponsored by National University of Health Sciences. Dr. Van D. Merkle, DC, DABCI, DCBCN, CCN, shows chiropractors how to use objective testing to spot serious disease, find metabolic imbalances, and make nutrient recommendations. It also covers when to refer or co-manage.

Using real case examples, the course covers reading blood tests and what testing costs a chiropractic office; CBC with differential; diabetes markers (glucose, hemoglobin A1c, triglycerides); cardiovascular and cholesterol testing; and kidney, liver, gallbladder, and metabolic panels. Dr. Merkle also ties blood chemistry to hair analysis, urinalysis, and other objective tests. He is a board-certified clinical nutritionist and internist in Centerville, Ohio, and founded Science Based Nutrition.
