About This Event
The purpose of this program is to help chiropractors (and those in training) determine if a disc is involved with their patient’s condition. Emphasis will be placed on the interpretation of assessment findings and how to correlate this information with historical data. The program will also cover how to integrate exercise into the management of lumbar and cervical spine disc issues.
Learning Objectives
- -Identify clinical assessment findings and imaging patterns indicative of intervertebral disc involvement in lumbar and cervical spine conditions
- -Correlate patient history, physical examination results, and diagnostic imaging to accurately determine disc pathology
- -Differentiate between various disc-related presentations (herniation, degeneration, bulging) and their clinical significance
- -Apply evidence-based exercise protocols and management strategies specific to lumbar disc disorders
- -Apply evidence-based exercise protocols and management strategies specific to cervical disc disorders
- -Develop appropriate treatment plans that integrate exercise prescription with other management modalities for disc-related conditions
- -Recognize red flags and determine appropriate referral criteria for disc-related pathology
