ICA Sports and Fitness Science Symposium 2027 – Overland Park, KS

A one-day symposium from the International Chiropractors Association's Council on Fitness & Sports Health Science, held Saturday, July 31, 2027, at Cleveland University-Kansas City in Overland Park. It is aimed at chiropractors who want to work with athletes or become a team chiropractor, and covers hands-on techniques, sideline care for subconcussive injuries, working in a locker room alongside other healthcare providers, and the business side of team chiropractic. Sessions: Dr. Todd McDougle on adjusting strength athletes; Dr. Joe Amunategui, a hands-on extremity adjusting workshop for athletes; Dr. Kevin Jackson on subconcussive forces, sideline evaluation and athlete safety; and Dr. Brant Hulsebus on the doctor-athlete experience, professional conduct in sports settings and the business of team chiropractic, including contracts and reimbursement. The day starts at 7:30 AM Central. CE credit is available for an extra $100 processing fee; ICA hasn't posted the number of CE hours.
