About This Event

Dr. Lindsay Mumma, DC, brings the in-person version of Your Pelvic Floor Sucks, based on her best-selling book, to FIT Muscle & Joint Clinic – Blue Valley in Overland Park, Kansas. The course is designed for chiropractors who want a whole-body, evidence-informed way to assess and manage pelvic floor dysfunction, well beyond telling patients to do kegels.

The weekend mixes lecture, case studies, and hands-on lab time. You'll cover pelvic floor anatomy, physiology, and common dysfunctions, how often they occur and how they affect quality of life, and how to assess them from a whole-body perspective. Dr. Mumma then teaches her clinical protocols: pelvic floor exercises and down-training, soft tissue and myofascial release, spinal and pelvic joint mobilization and manipulation, and breathing and diaphragm work based on Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization principles. The course also covers patient education and fitting pelvic floor care into your existing practice, including pregnant and postpartum patients and patients with chronic pain or pelvic organ prolapse.

Dr. Mumma graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic with the Clinical Excellence Award, opened Triangle Chiropractic and Rehabilitation Center in Raleigh in 2012, and teaches for the Motion Palpation Institute and moveMentors. PTs and PT students are welcome, though the content is built for chiropractors.

Schedule (Central): Saturday, November 7, 8:30 AM–5:30 PM (lunch 12:30–2:00) and Sunday, November 8, 8:30 AM–1:00 PM. Up to 12 PACE CE hours are available through Rehab2Performance as a $50 add-on at checkout; full attendance is required.
