About This Event
Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization according to Kolar (DNS) | A Developmental Kinesiology Approach. DNS "B" Course & Certification covering developmental kinesiology, primitive reflexes, postural reactions, infant assessment and handling, adult patient assessment and treatment, postural analysis, corrective exercises, and advanced clinical management protocols. Class limited to 15 students.
Learning Objectives
- •Demonstrate an understanding of developmental kinesiology and its relationship with pathology of the locomotor system, including review of foundational theory and advanced concepts such as the verticalization process
- •Describe the basis for primitive reflexes and postural reactions and their roles in developmental kinesiology
- •Introduce basic information about reflex locomotion according to Vojta
- •Perform demonstration of assessments of babies and recognize ideal and disturbed locomotor patterns
- •Determine developmental age of infants through assessment
