DNS Basic A - Texas

DNS Basic A is a 2-day course in Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization according to Kolar (DNS), grounded in a developmental kinesiology approach. This course is designed for healthcare professionals seeking to deepen their understanding of how human movement develops during the first year of life and how developmental patterns relate to adult pathology of the locomotor system.

Attendees will explore the foundational principles of developmental kinesiology with emphasis on critical milestones in human development. The course introduces the three levels of sensorimotor control and demonstrates how to apply these concepts in functional assessment and treatment. Participants will also learn new terminology pertinent to rehabilitation, including functional joint centration, punctum fixum, punctum mobile, and the integrated stabilizing system of the spine.

This course provides practitioners with evidence-based tools to understand ideal postural stabilization from a developmental perspective and to recognize how deviations from normal developmental patterns may contribute to dysfunction in adult patients.
