About This Event

This series of classes is for staff seeking certification as a Chiropractic Technician (CT). Classes can be taken for initial certification and are also approved for CT Renewal Hours. The Complete Course includes the 12-Hour CT Certification PLUS four Modalities (Specialties). The 12-Hour Chiropractic Technician Certification provides students with an overall understanding of chiropractic and basic anatomy, while providing the necessary training to satisfy the State of Wisconsin licensing requirements for certification as a Chiropractic Technician. Topics include chiropractic scope of practice, basic musculoskeletal anatomy, physiological therapeutics, obtaining patient history and baseline data, and vital signs. CT Therapeutic Modalities (Specialties) Training includes Electrotherapy, Therapeutic Ultrasound, Thermotherapy and Cryotherapy, and Mechanical Therapy.

She earned her Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 2003, following her undergraduate studies at the University of Whitewater. Dr. Holland has further distinguished herself with a Diplomate in Clinical Chiropractic Pediatrics (DICCP), signifying her advanced specialization in the unique chiropractic needs of pregnant individuals, infants, children, and adolescents. Throughout her career, Dr. Holland has been a passionate advocate for a vitalistic approach to health, emphasizing that true wellness stems from proper movement, function, and a proactive lifestyle rather than solely relying on reactive treatments. Dr. Wendy Varish is an accomplished chiropractor and educator, having graduated Salutatorian, Summa Cum Laude from National College of Chiropractic after attending the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She holds a B.S. in Science and Human Biology and a Doctorate Degree in Chiropractic. Dr. Varish has further distinguished herself with numerous advanced certifications, including Diplomate of the Academy of Chiropractic Orthopedists (DACO), Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP), Certified Chiropractic Occupational Health Consultant (CCOHC), and Medicare Compliance Specialist-Provider (MCS-P). She is also a Fellow of the Academy of Chiropractic Orthopedists (FACO) and the International Academy of Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine (FIANM(US)). Recognized as the WCA's 2021 Wisconsin Chiropractor of the Year, Dr. Varish is a national speaker who teaches a wide array of continuing education courses for chiropractors, physical therapists, and staff. Her teaching topics encompass physiological therapeutics, light therapy/photobiomodulation, rehabilitation, anatomy, radiology, nutrition, and various clinical conditions and issues. She is also an instructor for Wisconsin's Chiropractic Technician and Chiropractic Radiological Technician certification courses and has served as an Adjunct Instructor at Lakeland University, teaching Medical Terminology. In her clinical practice at Howards Grove Chiropractic, Dr. Varish specializes in family care, sports injuries, work injuries, nutrition, and pediatrics. She employs a diverse range of techniques tailored to individual patient needs, including Diversified, Gonstead, Activator, and Thompson. Her practice also incorporates advanced modalities such as dry needling, manipulation under anesthesia (MUA), therapeutic exercise, nutritional counseling, traction, and the Protec Spine Floating Manipulation Therapy unit. Beyond her professional roles, Dr. Varish has held significant leadership positions, including Past-President and Board of Director of the Wisconsin Chiropractic Association and Past-President of the Wisconsin Back Society. She has also volunteered as an on-field doctor and trainer for high school football teams.
