About This Event
This module delves into fundamental community advocacy models, focusing on public health education and health promotion strategies for various populations. It provides clinicians with the essential knowledge to actively engage in community health initiatives, advocacy, and policy development to advance public health and overall wellbeing. Upon completion, participants will be able to articulate the ecological model of health promotion, define community organization methodologies, list the four core components of advocacy, and outline best practices for effective public health advocacy within their communities. This course is designed to empower healthcare professionals to become more impactful advocates for public health.

- •Articulate the ecological model of health promotion and apply its multiple levels (individual, interpersonal, organizational, community, and policy) to real-world public health scenarios
- •Define and differentiate between various community organization methodologies and select appropriate approaches for specific population health needs
