Biography

Dr. Steve Agocs is a distinguished chiropractor and educator, having graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 2000. He has been a dedicated faculty member at Cleveland University-Kansas City (CUKC) since 2007, where he currently serves as the Assistant Dean of Chiropractic Education. In this role, he contributes significantly to the academic and clinical development of future chiropractors. Beyond his administrative duties, Dr. Agocs is an active clinician at KC CARE Health Center in Kansas City, Missouri, providing care to a diverse patient population. His teaching responsibilities at CUKC include courses such as History of Chiropractic, Technique Systems, Thompson Technique, and Flexion-Distraction Technique. He also extends his expertise to postgraduate education, leading seminars in pain science, chiropractic technique, and RockTape's Functional Movement Techniques. Dr. Agocs is deeply committed to advancing the understanding and treatment of pain. He completed Evidence in Motion's (EIM) Therapeutic Neuroscience Education course and earned the Therapeutic Pain Specialist (TPS) certification in conjunction with Purdue University in 2022. He was also accepted into EIM's Fellowship in Pain Sciences for the summer of 2024, further solidifying his expertise in interdisciplinary pain care. His contributions to the field include publications in *Chiropractic History* and the *American Medical Association Journal of Ethics*, as well as numerous presentations at the Association of Chiropractic Colleges Research Agenda Conference. An active participant in the chiropractic community, Dr. Agocs is a former board member of the Association for the History of Chiropractic and has authored articles for *Dynamic Chiropractic* on topics ranging from kinesiology taping and infant tongue tie to geriatric health. He is certified in Level 1 and Level 2 Fascial Movement Taping (FMT) and has been an instructor for RockTape™ since 2012, demonstrating his proficiency in adjunctive therapies.
