Biography

Nancy Ann Cotter MD is a graduate of McGill University, SUNY Buffalo School of Medicine, and Baylor College of Medicine. She is board- certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Integrative/ Holistic Medicine and Medical Acupuncture, and holds certifications as a Clinical Nutrition Specialist and Functional Medicine practitioner. Dr. Cotter is an Assistant Clinical Professor of PMR at Rutgers/ New Jersey Medical School, and has been teaching acupuncture to other physicians for 15 years. Dr. Cotter serves as the director of the VANJ Whole Health Flagship. She uses nutrition, acupuncture, herbal medicine and functional medicine as first line tools in her practice. She also serves as a Clinical Champion and an Education Champion for the VA Office of Patient Centered Care and Cultural Transformation. Dr. Cotter has authored multiple publications in Integrative Medicine and is a graduate of the Leadership Program in Integrative Healthcare at Duke University.
