Nalyn Marcus

Dr. Nalyn Marcus is a highly respected chiropractor with over 35 years of experience, known for her deep commitment to chiropractic philosophy and community engagement. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Biology with a Minor in Chemistry from New Jersey City University. In 1990, she graduated with distinction from Sherman College of Chiropractic, receiving her Doctor of Chiropractic degree and the prestigious B.J. Palmer Philosophy Distinction Award. Her involvement as a student included attending World Congress of Chiropractic Students conferences in Australia and California, laying the groundwork for her future leadership in the profession. Dr. Marcus established Marcus Family Chiropractic in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, in 1991. In 2007, she relocated her practice to a unique, non-traditional office setting designed as a "healing place" surrounded by nature, welcoming patients of all ages. She is a frequent featured speaker at national and international seminars, sharing her insights on chiropractic care and its vitalistic principles. Her dedication extends to professional leadership, having served as Past President of the Sherman College Alumni Association and on the Board of Directors for the Federation of Straight Chiropractors and Organizations, as well as Sherman College's Distinguished Board of Regents. Affectionately dubbed the “idea lady” by her colleagues, Dr. Marcus is renowned for her innovative approaches to community education and spreading the chiropractic message. She has developed numerous initiatives, including the “Orange You Glad You're Well-Adjusted” chiropractic awareness campaign, the Quest for Health Fest, and the Sylva Ashworth Scholarship, which supports single mothers pursuing chiropractic education. Dr. Marcus emphasizes specific chiropractic spinal adjustments to correct vertebral subluxations, promoting a clear nerve system and full life expression. She is also actively involved with the League of Chiropractic Women and mentors students and new chiropractors, embodying a passion for service and communication within the profession. Her contributions have been recognized with several accolades, including Chiropractic Career Advisor of the Year, Service to the Profession, the Spirit of Sherman Award (2007), Sherman's College's Chiropractor of the Year, and the 1999 ATHENA Award. Dr. Marcus also holds an honorary Doctor of Chiropractic Philosophy (Ph.C.) degree. She continues to inspire through her practice, speaking engagements, and monthly "subluxation Free Press newsletter."
