Mark Callanen

Dr. Callanen has been with Chattanooga since 2020, serving as US Director of Clinical Education/Marketing. Previously, he served as Director of Clinical Development for LightForce since 2017. He has made formal presentations to mixed professional audiences both nationally and internationally on the topic of laser therapy. Prior to joining the LightForce team, Dr. Callanen held various positions within the outpatient PT setting during his career, including clinician, manager/owner, and multisite/multi-state division director for a large corporate PT organization. He has been a PT since 1999 and board certified as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) by the APTA since 2003. He graduated with his transitional Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2007 from Marymount University in Arlington, VA, and earned his Master of Physical Therapy from Shenandoah University in 1999. He is currently an adjunct professor for Belmont University’s Physical Therapy Program in Nashville, TN.
