Jacob Dalbec

Dr. Jacob Dalbec, often known as Dr. Jake, is a highly accomplished chiropractor with a profound passion for sports and outdoor activities, stemming from his upbringing in the Northwest Metro of Minnesota. He pursued his academic journey at the University of Minnesota – Duluth, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in biology with a minor in chemistry. During his time there, he was actively involved in intramural sports, downhill skiing, hunting, fishing, and played in the UMD Pep Band. It was also at the university that he met his wife, Tara, and they now have three daughters. Following his undergraduate studies, Dr. Dalbec obtained his Doctorate of Chiropractic from Northwestern Health Sciences University, commencing his practice in 2009. He further specialized in sports chiropractic, becoming a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP®) in 2015, and is also a Certified Chiropractic Acupuncturist. His extensive sports medicine experience includes providing sideline care for St. Paul Public Schools, and serving on the medical staff for numerous high-profile athletic events such as the Collegiate National Handball Championships, World Handball Championships, US Open Racquetball Championships, USA Broomball Nationals, Susan G. Komen 3-Day, Nitro Circus Live Minneapolis, and CrossFit Granite Games. Dr. Dalbec's dedication and excellence in the field have been widely recognized. He has been honored with the Minnesota Best Chiropractors award annually since 2016, and in 2019, he received the Minnesota Chiropractic Association (MCA) Sports Chiropractor of the Year award. He served as the president of the MCA in 2022-23 and currently holds the position of Treasurer on the MCA Board of Directors. In 2025, he established his own practice, Ascend Sport and Spine, in St. Paul, Minnesota, where he continues to provide evidence-based, function-first chiropractic care.
