
Christopher Fahs

Biography
Dr. Christopher Fahs is an accomplished exercise physiologist and an Associate Professor in the College of Health Sciences at Logan University. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from the University of Scranton, followed by a Master of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana. During his time at the University of Illinois, he contributed to the Exercise and Cardiovascular Research Laboratory and served as a lab coordinator, collaborating with the Illinois Fire Service Institute to research the cardiovascular effects of live firefighting. He furthered his academic pursuits by completing his PhD in Exercise Physiology at the University of Oklahoma, where his research was conducted in the Neuromuscular Research Laboratory. Dr. Fahs's primary research interests lie in the acute and chronic adaptations to resistance training, with a particular focus on blood flow restricted training and velocity-based training. Dr. Fahs is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and a Certified Exercise Physiologist (CEP) through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), of which he is an active member. He has a prolific publication record, having authored and co-authored over 70 peer-reviewed publications in his field.
