Speaker | Founder of the FOCUS Program™ & Neuro-Deflective Disorders™ | Creator of Brain Blossom Program™ & FOCUS Academy™ | International Pediatric & Neurodevelopmental Chiropractic Educator Dr. Amy Spoelstra, DC, is the founder of Spoelstra Family Chiropractic in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. She opened the practice in April 2008 with her husband David after graduating cum laude from Sherman College of Chiropractic in South Carolina. With extensive post-doctoral training in pediatric chiropractic and a passion for lifelong learning, Dr. Amy specializes in helping children and adults overcome behavioral, learning, socialization, and developmental challenges through a comprehensive, neurologically-based model of care. In 2011 she launched the FOCUS program in her Coeur d’Alene office. This approach has since become internationally recognized as the FOCUS method for Neuro-Deflective Disorders™. Dr. Amy now travels nationally and internationally teaching chiropractors, educators, and other medical professionals practical, results-oriented strategies that transform patient outcomes. She is also the founder of the Brain Blossom Program™ and FOCUS Academy™, which provide advanced continuing education and certification support for FOCUS practitioners. She has contributed to the Practice-Based Research Network with the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA). Dr. Amy lives in Coeur d’Alene with her husband David, their daughter Meela, and their chocolate lab Izzy. She loves traveling and exploring new cultures with her family, practicing yoga, savoring a great cup of coffee, and — most of all — studying. As she often says, she truly loves to study!
