Systems-Based Functional Physiology – Syracuse
About This Event
Chronic presentations rarely involve just one system. Fatigue, digestive complaints, hormonal imbalance, immune dysregulation, blood sugar problems, and neurological symptoms tend to overlap. This full-day seminar, hosted by Premier Research Labs at the DoubleTree by Hilton in East Syracuse, New York, gives practitioners a root-cause framework for evaluating how those systems interact and deciding where to start.
Dr. Sarah Outlaw walks through the connections between digestion, detoxification, endocrine regulation, immune resilience, metabolism, neurological function, cardiovascular physiology, and connective tissue health. Specific topics include gut integrity, the microbiome, and nutrient absorption; liver, gallbladder, and elimination pathways; histamine balance and chronic inflammatory patterns; adrenal, thyroid, and hormone regulation; blood sugar, insulin resistance, and mitochondrial function; stress physiology, sleep, and autonomic regulation; and circulation, oxidative stress, and connective tissue repair. The afternoon focuses on clinical pattern recognition: spotting physiologic bottlenecks, prioritizing interventions, and choosing nutritional and botanical support, with case examples to tie it together.
Saturday, November 14. Registration opens at 8:00 AM and the program runs 8:30 AM–5:30 PM Eastern. Lunch is included. 8 CE hours (Nutrition 4, Physiology 4) have been applied for in New York and Pennsylvania for chiropractors, with CE provided through Texas Chiropractic College.
Learning Objectives
- •Identify relationships between major physiological systems in chronic health presentations
- •Recognize functional patterns of digestive, endocrine, metabolic, neurological, immune, and detoxification dysfunction
- •Explain the role of nutritional and botanical interventions in physiological resilience
- •Prioritize functional support strategies using systems-based clinical thinking
- •Differentiate overlapping symptom patterns with a root-cause framework
