About This Event

Dr. Yochum will discuss the history, presentation, and mechanism of injury related to spondylolysis in the athlete. She will review new case studies demonstrating both active, inactive, and pending pars defects as well as discuss the appropriate treatment plan. Dr. Krasnov is also a member of the sports medicine provider network for U.S.A. Swimming and holds a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, reflecting his commitment to a physically active lifestyle.

Mimi Hernandez

MS, RH (AHG)

Mimi Prunella Hernandez, MS, RH (AHG), has been a Registered Herbalist with the American Herbalists Guild since 2002. She graduated from Maryland University of Integrative Health, where she completed clinical and research tracks. For over a decade, Mimi served as the executive director of the American Herbalists Guild, where she worked tirelessly to ensure that clinical herbalists have a solid professional community to support their work. Before this, she taught undergraduate ethnobotany at Frostburg State University, where she coordinated the multi-institutional research consortium, Appalachian Center for Ethnobotanical Studies. In 2023, Mimi received a Botanical Excellence Award from the American Botanical Council, a prestigious honor recognizing her as a Mark Blumenthal Herbal Community Builder. Mimi recently published her first book, the National Geographic Herbal.
