Nerve Entrapments & How to Treat Them Successfully – South Portland
About This Event
Dr. Richard Carter, DC, DACRB, teaches this Fetterman Events seminar on functional causes of peripheral nerve entrapment and how to treat them. Entrapment can happen anywhere from the intervertebral foramen to the nerve's farthest endings in the extremities. Pain is usually the main symptom, and muscle (with its trigger points and painful attachments) is the structure most often involved. Treatment has to address whatever is causing the compression.
Dr. Carter covers what to look for in the history and physical exam, how to correctly identify entrapments, how different nerve types compress and the symptoms each produces, and the treatment approaches that work best. He is board certified in chiropractic rehabilitation, has helped with Rehab Diplomate exams for the American Chiropractic Rehabilitation Board, and is a Fellow of the Acupuncture Society of America.
The seminar is held at the Holiday Inn Express near the Portland Jetport and runs 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM for 12 CE hours.
