MRI Spine Interpretation BASICS 3 CE Hours
About This Event
MRI Spine Interpretation Basics is a practical, doctor-to-doctor training program designed to take chiropractors from no MRI experience to confident, clinically useful spine MRI interpretation. The course is structured as a 2-part program totaling just over 2 hours, with pre-tests and post-tests for each section, plus comprehensive handouts (119 slides combined). It is built for real-world clinical and medical-legal application.
Spinal MRI interpretation skills directly affect diagnostic precision, prognosis and treatment planning, interprofessional communication with medical doctors and radiologists, referral confidence, and medico-legal value. When clinicians can interpret MRI findings and communicate using correct terminology, they become trusted imaging-informed authorities who command respect from medical colleagues and attorneys.
Part 1 (63 minutes) covers foundational concepts including normal spinal anatomy on MRI, basic MRI physics and image interpretation (T1, T2, STIR), degenerative changes, annular fissures, and real clinical case scenarios. Part 2 (68 minutes) builds advanced skills including how to load and view MRI discs, disc bulges and degenerative processes, disc herniations (protrusion, extrusion, migration, sequestration), Modic endplate changes, MRI localization and terminology, and MRI ordering protocols.
This course is designed for doctors who want to learn spine MRI interpretation from the ground up, improve confidence reading MRI reports, understand key pathological findings, use correct clinical terminology, build stronger relationships with medical colleagues and attorneys, and reduce uncertainty when imaging is central to a case. No prior MRI experience is required.
Learning Objectives
