Movement Specialist
About This Event
This course will introduce novel movement screening/assessments along with corrective tactics and strategies that are built around a new paradigm for enhancing human movement using a multi-system approach that gives consideration to the brain, the midline and mechanics. The primary goal of this course is to help health and fitness professionals learn safe, simple, and effective tactics to screen and corrective "˜conscious' movement patterns. Attendees will learn multiple novel screening/assessment methods along with interventional strategies to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of basic human movement. A variety of interventional tools (mobility balls, exercise bands, foam rollers, compression flossing bands, agility and conditioning equipment) will be used to tackle an evidence-informed, brain-based, joint-by-joint approach to movement and functional rehabilitation/performance programming.
Learning Objectives
- •Apply evidence-based movement screening and assessment protocols to identify movement dysfunction and asymmetries
- •Implement corrective exercise strategies using a multi-system approach that integrates neurological, postural, and biomechanical considerations
- •Design and execute functional movement programs that address the brain-body connection and midline stability
- •Demonstrate proper use of mobility and conditioning tools (mobility balls, foam rollers, compression flossing bands, agility equipment) in corrective exercise protocols
- •Develop joint-by-joint assessment and intervention strategies for improving movement efficiency and reducing injury risk
- •Integrate brain-based movement principles into patient/client programming for enhanced functional rehabilitation and performance outcomes
