About This Event

The Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act of 2015 (MACRA) ends the sustainable growth rate and moves Medicare closer to a system that pays physicians based on the outcomes that matter to patients. The Merit-based Incentive Program (MIPS) is a sub-section of the MACRA regulations.The MIPS portion of the Quality Payment Program allows clinicians to choose the best way to deliver care and to participate based on their practice size, specialty, location, or patient population. The MACRA program emphasizes high-quality care and patient outcomes while attempting to ease the regulations, thus minimizing the burden on eligible clinicians in reporting their outcomes.

Michael Krasnov

Dr. Michael Krasnov has been a chiropractor for 36 years, emphasizing sports injuries and performance enhancement. He served as the team chiropractor for the 1996 U.S. Olympic track and field team and has worked major track and field events. Dr. Krasnov is also a member of the sports medicine provider network for U.S.A. Swimming and holds a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, reflecting his commitment to a physically active lifestyle.

Mario Fucinari

DC, CPCO, CPPM, CIC

Dr. Mario Fucinari, a 1986 graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic Davenport, successfully led a practice in Decatur, Illinois, for 35 years. He is a member of the Carrier Advisory Committee for Medicare and holds certifications as a Certified Professional Compliance Officer (CPCO), a Certified Physician Practice Manager (CPPM), and a Certified Insurance Consultant (CIC). Dr. Fucinari has authored several books on topics including Corporate Compliance, HIPAA, ICD-10 coding, and E/M Guidelines, and has been a nationwide speaker for over twenty-seven years, presenting continuing education classes for various organizations.
