Lumbar & Cervical Oddities in Imaging
About This Event
Dr. Steven Gould will begin the day with Lumbar instabilities, spondylolysis and spondylolisthesis and herniations. He will continue with Cervical Trauma and Upper Cervical Oddities in imaging and end the day with surprises you may see in your practice. Included in this seminar: MRI protocol for spine imaging, Treatment options for disc herniations, Resorption of disc herniations, Radiographic evaluation of instability, MRI of spinal instability, patient positioning considerations. Schedule: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM Central Time.
Learning Objectives
- •Identify and differentiate lumbar instabilities, spondylolysis, and spondylolisthesis on imaging studies
- •Recognize common disc herniation patterns and understand the mechanisms of disc resorption
- •Evaluate cervical trauma and upper cervical anatomical variations on MRI and radiographic imaging
- •Apply appropriate MRI protocols for comprehensive spine imaging assessment
- •Interpret radiographic and MRI findings indicative of spinal instability
- •Determine optimal patient positioning strategies for accurate diagnostic imaging
- •Develop evidence-based treatment considerations for disc herniations based on imaging findings
