Implicit Bias Training

This seminar is based off of NIH information and will review the different types of Biases seen in society today along with ways to reduce these in your office. Topics include: How to recognize bias in yourself and others, How to minimize its impact, How do we define diversity, What prevents diversity, What fosters diversity.

• •Identify and recognize implicit biases within yourself and your clinical practice environment
• •Describe the distinctions between different types of biases (implicit, explicit, confirmation, and affinity bias) and their manifestations in healthcare settings
• •Apply evidence-based strategies to minimize the impact of bias on patient care and office dynamics
• •Define diversity and analyze barriers that prevent diverse representation in chiropractic practices
• •Evaluate environmental and organizational factors that foster an inclusive, diverse workplace culture
• •Develop actionable implementation steps for addressing bias in your chiropractic office based on NIH research
