About This Event

Cranial Distortion Patterns and Adjusting: Supporting Breastfeeding Success is a 8-hour, in-person seminar from the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA), taught by Lynn Gerner, DC, FICPA, IBCLC. This course teaches specific cranial distortion patterns that come from birth trauma and how they affect infant feeding. It covers how these distortions often present as "tethered oral tissues" and the current debate in the medical professions about frenotomy. You get hands-on practice with cranial adjusting and its clinical use for infants with feeding challenges.

The course goal is to assess and adjust the cranial distortion patterns common in infants with feeding challenges, and to discuss confidently the role of chiropractic care in restoring and supporting the oral neurobiomechanical function that breastfeeding needs. ICPA recommends taking Breastfeeding and TOTs: Functional Support Through Chiropractic first.

This session runs Saturday, November 21, 2026, 8:30 AM–5:30 PM Central time, at Courtyard by Marriott Austin Pflugerville and Pflugerville Conference Center, 16100 Impact Way, Pflugerville, TX 78660, in the Austin area. The venue is also ICPA's recommended hotel.

ICPA lists approved CE for this date in 38 jurisdictions (US states plus DC, Puerto Rico and the Canadian provinces AB, ON): 8 hours in most. Check the Venue & CE Details on ICPA's course page for your state. Registration is $480 for non-members, $320 for ICPA DC members and $240 for student members (USD). Registration is open to chiropractors and to chiropractic students in their final two years. Bring a portable adjusting table (unless the seminar is held at a college), an infant skull model, a baby doll, and questions from your own patients and practice.
