Human Trafficking Training

This course is designed to meet the LARA-mandated, one-time Michigan human trafficking training requirement for all health care professions. The Michigan Bureau of Professional Licensing (LARA) requires human trafficking training for almost all health care professions. This is a one-time requirement. • •Identify the signs and indicators of human trafficking in healthcare settings
• •Understand the legal requirements and mandatory reporting obligations for Michigan healthcare providers under LARA regulations
• •Recognize vulnerable populations at increased risk of trafficking and exploitation
• •Learn appropriate protocols for responding to suspected human trafficking situations
• •Understand the role of chiropractors in identifying and reporting trafficking victims
• •Develop communication strategies for safely and compassionately approaching potential trafficking victims
