Functional Taping for Musculoskeletal Injuries
About This Event
This hands-on, 12-hour course provides in-depth training on functional taping techniques for musculoskeletal injuries. Participants will learn pre-taping functional evaluation methods to determine the best taping techniques for effective functional change. The course covers multiple taping methods, including kinesiology tape, coverall, and leukotape, and applies them to common injuries of the spine, upper extremity, and lower extremity. Upon completion, participants will be confident in applying functional taping techniques in clinical settings.
Learning Objectives
- •Perform pre-taping functional assessments to identify movement dysfunctions and determine appropriate taping interventions
- •Apply kinesiology tape, coverall tape, and leukotape techniques with proper anatomical alignment and tension for maximum therapeutic benefit
- •Develop taping protocols for common cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine injuries
- •Implement upper extremity taping strategies for shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand conditions
- •Design lower extremity taping applications for hip, knee, ankle, and foot injuries
- •Integrate functional taping into a comprehensive treatment plan and educate patients on tape application and care
- •Evaluate treatment outcomes and modify taping techniques based on clinical response and patient feedback
