First Adjustment 2025

This 12-hour seminar is designed to equip Doctors of Chiropractic with advanced clinical skills and evidence-based protocols for two specialized patient populations: pregnant women and pediatric patients. Participants will explore the anatomical, physiological, and biomechanical changes that occur during pregnancy and childhood development, and learn how to safely and effectively apply chiropractic care across these distinct life stages. The course covers assessment techniques, modification of adjustment procedures, management of common conditions, safety protocols, and interprofessional communication strategies. Upon completion, doctors will be prepared to confidently expand their practice to serve expectant mothers and children with specialized, evidence-informed care.

• •Assess and manage musculoskeletal conditions specific to prenatal patients, including postural changes and pregnancy-related pain syndromes
• •Apply safe and evidence-based chiropractic adjustment techniques modified for pregnant patients across all trimesters
• •Evaluate pediatric patients for subluxation and developmental concerns, with emphasis on birth trauma assessment
• •Develop appropriate treatment protocols for common pediatric conditions including colic, ear infections, and postural dysfunction
• •Understand contraindications, safety considerations, and informed consent procedures for prenatal and pediatric care
• •Implement effective patient communication and education strategies for expectant mothers and parents
• •Integrate chiropractic care with other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated prenatal and pediatric patient management
