About This Event

Pelvic pain in females is a common diagnosis, in that every female will experience pelvic pain at least once in her lifetime. There are many factors which influence pelvic pain in females. This one-hour course will serve as an introduction to the most common chronic pain conditions seen female patients in chiropractic practices. In addition, the pathophysiology of chronic pain and further insight regarding the biomechanics of the pelvis will be discussed.This course was presented in July 2017 by Dr. Kris Pertocco-Napuli and sponsored by Foot Levelers, Inc.

Speakers

Kristin Hieshetter

Dr. Kristin Hieshetter, a 2005 graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic, holds certifications in S.O.T. cranial and nutrition, and is pursuing board certification in chiropractic neurology. From 2009-2019, she was part of Helen Newberry Joy Hospital Specialty Clinic and operated two chiropractic offices, emphasizing nutrition, supplementation, and low-level laser therapy for neuroregeneration. She has been a post-doctorate clinical educator since 2018 and hosts the podcast Functional Health Radio.

Krista Burns

DC, DHA, DACNB

Dr. Krista Burns, DC, DHA, is the founder of the American Posture Institute, author of the textbook The Posture Principles, and a TEDx Speaker. She holds a Diplomate in Functional Neurology and serves as an Instructor of Clinical Sciences at National University of Health Sciences teaching clinical neurology. A sought-after international speaker and summit host, Dr. Burns specializes in posture correction, functional neurology, and performance-based care.
