About This Event
The objective of this course is to provide an understanding of EKG's. The various waves, segments, and complexes of an EKG and their correlates with cardiac function will be discussed. Information will be provided to have a good understanding of interpreting the basics of EKG's.
Learning Objectives
- -Identify and interpret the key components of a standard 12-lead EKG, including waves (P, QRS, T), segments (PR, ST), and intervals (PR, QT)
- -Correlate EKG findings with underlying cardiac electrophysiology and normal cardiac conduction pathways
- -Recognize normal EKG patterns and distinguish them from common abnormalities
- -Apply systematic EKG interpretation techniques to assess cardiac rate, rhythm, and axis
- -Understand the clinical significance of EKG changes relevant to patient assessment and referral decisions
- -Develop competency in basic EKG reading to support informed clinical decision-making in chiropractic practice
