About This Event
This 4 hour class looks at both Western “pay attention” tongue and nail moments and Traditional Chinese Medicine diagnoses. For the beginner student looking to gain some understanding of tongue diagnosis, it will also help you with nutritional deficiencies and other western systemic diagnosis.
Learning Objectives
- •Identify key tongue characteristics (color, coating, shape, moisture) and their significance in both Western clinical assessment and Traditional Chinese Medicine diagnostics
- •Recognize nail abnormalities (discoloration, ridging, brittleness, clubbing) as indicators of nutritional deficiencies and systemic health conditions
- •Apply Traditional Chinese Medicine tongue diagnosis principles to assess organ system imbalances and constitutional patterns
- •Correlate Western clinical observations of tongue and nail findings with potential nutritional deficiencies and systemic disorders
- •Interpret the relationship between tongue/nail presentation and patient health status to inform clinical decision-making and patient referral protocols
- •Integrate East-West diagnostic perspectives to enhance patient assessment and comprehensive health evaluation in chiropractic practice
