Developmental Care of the Pediatric Patient: The Beginning
About This Event
This is a 1-hour course. Developmental progression drives the unborn baby and transcends all neurological function at birth. The nervous system is impacted by genetic and epigenetic triggers existing inside and outside the body. The state of health of both parents at the time of conception has a distinctive impact on the development of the baby and its overall health throughout life.A child's history is the blueprint of mom and dad's state of health. Identifying the "œred-flags" prior and during pregnancy will reveal physiological development in the child. This course will identify common findings associated with childhood developmental delay.

- •Identify the impact of parental health status and epigenetic factors on fetal development and long-term child health outcomes
- •Recognize common red flags during pregnancy that may indicate developmental concerns
