DC Boundaries, Ethics & Jurisprudence (October 2026 - TCA Headquarters)

The Tennessee Board of Chiropractic Examiners requires all newly-licensed Tennessee chiropractors to complete a one-time six (6) hour board-approved course in risk management, sexual/professional boundaries, and Tennessee statutory and regulatory chiropractic jurisprudence. Attendees will benefit from a working lunch provided during the session.

• -Understand professional boundaries and the legal/ethical implications of boundary violations in chiropractic practice
• -Identify risk management strategies to minimize liability and protect both patients and practitioners
• -Recognize warning signs of sexual misconduct and implement policies to prevent inappropriate conduct
• -Apply Tennessee-specific statutory and regulatory requirements to everyday chiropractic practice
• -Demonstrate knowledge of Tennessee Board of Chiropractic Examiners rules and disciplinary procedures
• -Navigate informed consent, documentation, and patient confidentiality requirements under Tennessee law
