CXT Studies: Advanced X-ray Physics II
About This Event
This course is part 2 of 2 modules that provide an update on x-ray physics, including more specificity in the discipline and a bit of a deeper dive into how x-ray imaging works. Students will be reminded of what they learned in their certification course but will also learn a few more items of interest. This course offers valuable insights for CXT professionals looking to enhance their understanding of advanced x-ray principles and imaging techniques. Access to on demand products expires on the last day of the calendar year. They must be viewed/completed within the calendar year in which they are purchased, providing flexibility for professionals to complete their continuing education at their own pace within the annual timeframe.
Learning Objectives
- •Review and expand upon foundational x-ray physics principles covered in certification coursework
- •Understand advanced concepts in x-ray beam generation, including tube design and electrical characteristics
- •Analyze the physics of x-ray interaction with matter and tissue penetration patterns
- •Apply knowledge of image formation principles to optimize radiographic technique and image quality
- •Evaluate factors affecting radiation safety, dose optimization, and protection strategies
- •Interpret advanced imaging techniques and their physical basis in clinical applications
- •Demonstrate mastery of x-ray physics concepts essential for CXT professional competency and best practices
