About This Event
This course provides essential CPR recertification, a mandatory requirement for healthcare professionals to maintain their license in Colorado. Attendees will ensure compliance with state licensing regulations and enhance their readiness to respond effectively to medical emergencies.
Learning Objectives
- -Demonstrate proper hand placement and chest compression techniques for adults, children, and infants
- -Execute effective rescue breathing and maintain appropriate compression-to-ventilation ratios
- -Recognize signs of cardiac arrest and activate emergency response systems appropriately
- -Operate an automated external defibrillator (AED) with correct pad placement and timing
- -Respond confidently to choking emergencies using abdominal thrusts and airway clearing techniques
- -Apply CPR knowledge to healthcare-specific scenarios and high-risk patient populations
- -Maintain current CPR certification to meet Colorado state licensing requirements for healthcare professionals
