Closing the Chiropractic Gap: From Trimester to Doctor
About This Event
School teaches you how to become a chiropractor. This one-day seminar at Texas Chiropractic College in Pasadena, Texas, is about what comes next: protecting yourself, your body, and your patients once you're actually in practice.
Dr. Lauren Baker, DC, built the day around four blocks she calls Head, Heart, Hands, and Hustle. The case management portion covers communicating confidently with patients, recognizing the risk factors in a case, and knowing when to refer or order imaging. The hands-on body positioning work focuses on adjusting set-ups that protect your own body for a long career and avoid improper contact, with a goal of making you certain about your placements and evaluation protocol. The clinic boundaries segment has attendees practice, in pairs, how to set and hold professional boundaries.
The seminar is aimed at students in their final trimesters, new graduates, DCs within their first three to five years of practice, and experienced doctors who want a reset on documentation, risk management, and day-to-day clinic life. Dr. Baker draws on 20+ years that span associate work, 17 years of solo practice, Nuspine franchise ownership, animal chiropractic, and adjunct teaching at TCC.
Saturday, November 7, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM Central. The course carries 8 PACE CE hours: Risk Management (3), Adjustive Technique (2), Patient Communication (2), and Ethics (1).
