About This Event
This presentation addresses the pain complaints that many patients present with from a biomechanical and physiological perspective. In addition to compromised biomechanics, failure to address chronic inflammation may prolong or delay the response to care. We will discuss the most common biomechanical and postural imbalances as well as the causes of chronic inflammation and explore ways to quantify the inflammatory response to provide effective treatment options. This course was originally presented by Dr. Jensen on July 12, 2022, and sponsored by Foot Levelers, Inc.
Learning Objectives
- •Identify common biomechanical and postural imbalances that contribute to chronic musculoskeletal complaints
- •Understand the physiological mechanisms linking chronic inflammation to delayed patient recovery and treatment response
- •Recognize the distinction between acute inflammatory responses and chronic inflammation in musculoskeletal conditions
- •Learn methods to quantify and assess inflammatory markers to guide clinical decision-making
- •Explore evidence-based treatment options that address both biomechanical dysfunction and inflammatory processes
- •Apply assessment techniques to identify patients whose conditions may be prolonged by unaddressed inflammatory responses
