Carrick Institute CNS-04: Autonomic Nervous System & Intracranial Vascular Disorders

CNS-04 is part of the Carrick Institute's functional neurology program. This in-person session runs at The Functional Neurology Center in Minnetonka, Minnesota. It's designed for clinicians who see patients with dysautonomia, POTS, orthostatic hypotension, or autonomic problems after an injury, whose symptoms span the cardiovascular, vestibular, GI, ocular, and neuropsychiatric systems and whose routine workups often come back normal.

Over 25 credit hours, the course covers the central autonomic network, intracranial vascular anatomy, and neurovascular physiology, plus the bedside and lab exams that turn scattered symptoms into a localized clinical picture. Practical skills include pupillometry, orthostatic and sympathetic challenge testing, localizing brainstem vascular problems, recognizing vascular emergencies and when to refer, and dosing autonomic rehabilitation based on exam findings.
