Bioenergetics APM: Clinical Solutions for Mitochondrial and Metabolic Dysfunction
About This Event
This Advanced Practice Module will investigate the science of mitochondrial function and dysfunction, the impact of oxidative stress, and nutritional and lifestyle influences on both health and disease. Clinicians will learn how to regenerate compromised mitochondrial function and how to address the varied underlying causes of fatigue, depression, headache, and neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases. Evidence-based modalities to address pain will be introduced, and the profound potential of the healing partnership will be both explored and experienced.
Learning Objectives
- •Understand the fundamental mechanisms of mitochondrial function and identify key factors contributing to mitochondrial dysfunction
- •Evaluate the role of oxidative stress in disease pathogenesis and recognize clinical presentations of mitochondrial compromise
- •Apply evidence-based nutritional and lifestyle interventions to restore mitochondrial function and cellular energy production
- •Integrate clinical assessment strategies to identify underlying causes of fatigue, depression, headache, and neurodegenerative conditions
- •Implement evidence-based modalities for pain management within a comprehensive patient care framework
- •Develop therapeutic communication skills that enhance the healing partnership and optimize clinical outcomes
