Basic Acupuncture Certification
About This Event
A four-session 100-Hour Basic Acupuncture Certification Program created specifically for Doctors of Chiropractic and Trimster 5+ chiropractic students. This dynamic, hands-on course introduces foundational principles of acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), progressing in skill and confidence with each session. Through engaging classroom instruction and guided clinical practicum, participants develop skills to integrate acupuncture into practice as a powerful adjunct therapy.
Learning Objectives:
Session 1 (Feb 6-8): Introduction to Acupuncture, Clean Needle Technique, Meridians 1, Acupuncture Theory 1 Session 2 (Mar 6-8): Tongue Diagnosis, Antique Points, Acupuncture Theory 2-3, Meridians 2-3, Eight Extraordinary Meridians, Auriculotherapy and Instrumentation Session 3 (Apr 10-12): Meridians 4, TCM History Taking, Adjunctive Patterns, Cupping, Moxibustion, Acupuncture Techniques, Gua Sha Session 4 (May 15-17): Musculoskeletal Acupuncture with Motor Point Dry Needling, Introduction to Pulse Diagnosis, Adjunctive Patterns 2, Internal Disorders Acupuncture Techniques, Review & Final Examination
Meeting Times: Friday 4 PM-8 PM, Saturday 8 AM-8 PM (1 hr lunch), Sunday 8 AM-6 PM (1 hr lunch) Attendance required for course completion.
Learning Objectives
- •Understand and apply foundational acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) theory, including meridian systems, point locations, and diagnostic principles
- •Safely perform clean needle technique and accurately identify and needle key acupuncture points with clinical confidence
- •Integrate acupuncture as an adjunctive therapy for musculoskeletal conditions and internal disorders within a chiropractic practice
- •Master supplementary techniques including auriculotherapy, cupping, moxibustion, gua sha, and motor point dry needing
- •Develop clinical assessment skills using tongue diagnosis, pulse diagnosis, and TCM history-taking protocols
- •Apply adjunctive pattern recognition to enhance treatment outcomes and patient care
- •Meet NBCE acupuncture certification exam eligibility requirements
