Stan Stubbs

DC

Dr. Stan Stubbs is a 1995 graduate of Life Chiropractic College in Marietta, Georgia. Upon graduation, Dr. Stubbs founded Helena Family Chiropractic and maintained it for 10 years. He then left to pursue the unique opportunity of establishing the first chiropractic clinic in a multi-disciplinary spine care center in Alabaster, Alabama, for the next 10 years. As Shelby Chiropractic grew, he relocated to a new location in Pelham. Dr. Stubbs prides himself on staying current on new trends in healthcare and injury healing. He offers some of the most sought-after treatments for severe injuries and degenerative conditions. Dr. Stubbs states, “Where we hurt is not always where the problem is. Often your body compensates because of a movement or loading problem elsewhere.” Our understanding of how we sit, stand, or move and how it affects our body is very important to our overall health. This is why Dr. Stubbs takes the time to find out what movements or positions aggravate your pain, and the positions or movements make it better. We take that information and, with a thorough orthopedic and neurological evaluation, including any necessary imaging to develop a treatment plan specific to the individual. Our treatment plans are designed for you with attention to your lifestyle, work responsibilities, and hobbies. Dr. Stan Stubbs is also certified in numerous rehabilitation and soft tissue techniques including Graston soft-tissue mobilization. He is very active in both local and national associations. Dr. Stubbs is the past President of the Alabama State Chiropractic Association and the Jefferson County Chiropractic Society. He has had the honor of being voted “Young Chiropractor of the Year” by his peers, as well as “Chiropractor of the Year”, and has received numerous other distinctions and awards. Dr. Stubbs served for 17 years on the board and as a committee chairman for the Alabama State Chiropractic Association. He is also a member of the American Chiropractic Association and the Laser Therapy Institute.
