Donald C. DeFabio

Dr. Donald C. DeFabio received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Northeastern College of Health Sciences in 1984 and currently serves as Director of Chiropractic Services at DeFabio Spine and Sports Rehab. He is triple board certified in Chiropractic Orthopedics, Physical Rehabilitation and Sports injuries as well as maintaining additional certifications as a corrective and performance enhancement specialist (NASM), Stecco Fascial Manipulation, ART, Graston, SMFA, FATKR and MUA. He was named the ACA Rehab Council's Doctor of the Year in 2023 and the Association of New Jersey Chiropractors Doctor of the year in 2013. In 2023 he received first place, Full Time Clinician Award, from Parker University's iPoster contest. From 1991-1999 he participated in the Ironman Triathlon World Championships in Kona as a member of the race week and race day treatment team. He was the chiropractic doctor for Drew University athletics as well as Rutgers's Track and Field until discontinuing for health reasons in 2016. From 2001 to 2017 he served as a member of the classification panel for the International Wheelchair and Amputee Sports Federation for Wheelchair Fencing as well as being the medical coordinator for the USA Paralympic fencing team from 1999 - 2015. He is recognized as a Chiropractic influencer and lectures nationally on physical rehabilitation, active care, the thoughtful use of modalities, orthopedics, sports injury assessment and management, chiropractic technique and clinical examination techniques from a functional perspective. His Relevant Rehab courses are known to be engaging, well referenced, high energy and designed to give the clinician the tools needed to immediately implement into their practice. He is a columnist for Dynamic Chiropractic, has been published in peer reviewed scientific journals and publishes The DeFabio Difference rehab and health tips via his website and YouTube channel which has over 42K subscribers and hours of applicable content.

Jonathan Chung

Dr. Jonathan Chung is a Board Certified Chiropractic Neurologist and an upper cervical chiropractor based in Wellington, Florida. He is the owner and clinical director of Keystone Chiropractic and Neuroplasticity, a practice dedicated to the correction and rehabilitation of disorders of the brain and spine. Dr. Chung earned his undergraduate degree in Microbiology/Molecular Biology from the University of Central Florida and his Doctorate of Chiropractic from Life University. He furthered his expertise through post-graduate training in clinical neuroscience at the Carrick Institute, where he also completed a Fellowship in the American Board of Brain Injury and Rehabilitation. Dr. Chung's clinical focus encompasses a wide range of complex neurological conditions, including traumatic brain injury, vestibular disorders, dysautonomia (such as POTS), and craniocervical junction injuries. He is proficient in the NUCCA protocol for upper cervical correction and integrates a functional neurology paradigm to address issues like chronic pain, migraines, trigeminal neuralgia, Meniere's disease, vertigo, dizziness, post-stroke rehabilitation, Parkinson's, and various functional neurological disorders. He is also recognized as an Assistant Professor of Functional Neurology at the Carrick Institute for Graduate Studies. Beyond his clinical practice, Dr. Chung is a sought-after speaker on topics such as concussion, vestibular disorders, and dysautonomia. He has contributed to peer-reviewed articles and The Brain Health Magazine, and hosts the "Heal Yourself Radio Podcast." Additionally, Dr. Chung is a National Academy of Science Certified Personal Trainer and Corrective Exercise Specialist, with a specialized interest in rehabilitation and esports. He has worked with both casual and professional esports players, previously serving as a Performance Manager for teams like Toronto Ultra and Toronto Defiant, and a Performance Coach for Fnatic League of Legends.

Dr. Ventimiglia's lectures focus on doctor-patient communication and its impact on the patient's clinical outcome. The presentations build upon the practitioner's foundational communication knowledge and skills (e.g., health data collection and information dissemination) to advanced communication techniques that improve their empathic listening, promote collaborative decision making, and encourage the use of guiding communication style. In addition, the lectures discuss the importance of the provider's awareness and sensitivity to the unique determinants of the health of a culturally diverse patient population and the communication skills needed to address them. The overarching objective is to provide the doctor with the skills needed to promote patient empowerment that leads to improved health behavior choices. This lecture includes didactic and workshop methods with the use of external as appropriate. A graduate of New York Chiropractic College (NYCC) and Fellow of the American College of Chiropractors, Dr. Ventimiglia served as dean of NYCC Department of Postgraduate and Continuing Education. In addition, he has served as the chairperson of the Association of Chiropractic Colleges, subcommittee on Postgraduate Education. Dr. Ventimiglia coauthored "The Wellness Consultation: A Communication Model for Improved Patient Outcomes." That was presented at the NYCC Research Symposium in 2018. He was the principle investigator/conference director for the National Institutes of Health's National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine R-13 Conference Grant on "Conference on Chiropractic and Allopathic Integration." Although retired from a private practice after 40 years, he remains active in the profession as a member of the NCMIC Speakers Bureau, the American Public Health Association's Chiropractic Health Care section and the Federation of International Chiropractic Sports.
