110th KAC Annual Convention | The Biophysics of Heart Disease and The Heart of Chiropractic with Dr. Stephen Hussey
About This Event
The Biophysics of Heart Disease discusses how the cholesterol theory of heart disease has never been proven and what the actual causes of atherosclerosis are. Atherosclerosis, as well as heart attacks and strokes, are a result of clotting tissue. Clotting happens when there is endothelial damage, poor or turbulent blood flow, and aggregation of elements of blood. Learning the unique properties of water in the blood shows us the true path to preventing heart disease. The Heart of Chiropractic discusses the biophysics of how the body communicates through the fascia system, how this communication can break down, how the heart measures this communication through coherence/heart rate variability, how this explains the emotional and cognitive aspects of chronic pain, and how Chiropractic creates a situation in the body that helps resolve issues with fascia, communication, and coherence.
Learning Objectives
- •Understand the biophysical mechanisms of atherosclerosis development, including the roles of endothelial damage, blood flow dynamics, and clotting cascade
- •Evaluate the limitations of the cholesterol theory of heart disease and identify evidence-based alternative explanations for cardiovascular pathology
- •Explain the relationship between water's unique properties in blood and cardiovascular disease prevention
- •Describe how the fascia system functions as a communication network throughout the body and the consequences of communication breakdown
- •Identify how heart rate variability and coherence serve as measurable indicators of nervous system function and systemic communication
- •Connect the physiological mechanisms of fascia dysfunction to the development and persistence of chronic pain syndromes
- •Analyze how chiropractic intervention addresses fascia integrity, nervous system coherence, and systemic communication to support cardiovascular and musculoskeletal health
